Boy Scout merit badges give scouts the opportunity to investigate around 120 different areas of knowledge and skills. The merit badge program plays a major role in the scouting advancement program and participation can begin as soon as a scout registers with our troop. Each scout can explore topics from American Business to Woodworking as he has interest. The only limitations are his ambition and availability of adult merit badge counselors to offer instruction.

Below is a listing of informational resources for the Scout, parent and parent interested in becoming a merit badge counselor.  Each has specific procedures and knowledge for the intended audience.  If you are a Scout looking to acquire a particular or any merit badge, please go to the link on Merit Badge Procedures for Scouts.  This link will give you all the basic information to begin the recording of your start, fulfilling of requirements and completion of your merit badge deeds to receive your merit badge. It is important ensure a record of your initialing and completing of the merit badge.  Should you move to another Troop or simply lose the merit badge itself, this record with the Troop and BSA office provides your proof of hard work.
