Fall Court of Honor 2008 Three times a year, Troop 1849 has a formal awards ceremony in which the Scouts advancements in rank and other accomplishments for the Scouts and adults are recognized. We believe it is important to provide positive feedback to our young men. The "Court of Honor," as the ceremony is called, instills pride in the Scout and encourages further advancement. At the Fall Court of Honor 2008, Alex C. was our Master of Ceremonies for this event, and did a fine job. Troop 1849 had 19 scouts advance in rank and 53 merit badges were awarded. Congratulations to our Scouts on such dedicated and outstanding work! Three scouts were presented with Junior National Rifle Association (NRA) awards for their eagle eye sharp shooting from the Shooting Campout in September 2008. And from our Summer Camp experience at Camp Henson in July 2008, the Troop was awarded two ribbons - one for conservation of the property and the other for attendance.
